When your licensor delivers audio files directly (MP3, WAV, etc.), ShowPlayer Pro plays them in order with full cue management. You get:

• Sequenced playback of every song and transition in your show
• Automatic mic mute/unmute during songs—synced to entrances, exits, and ensemble changes
• User-triggered mic states for dialogue scenes between songs
• Overlay audio for sound effects and sweeteners on top of the licensed tracks

Tracks locked inside a third-party delivery app

When your licensor delivers tracks through a dedicated playback app rather than as standalone audio files

Some licensors deliver show tracks through a dedicated app that controls tempo and key but doesn't give you direct access to the audio files. ShowPlayer Pro controls that app over your local network via OSC—no app switching, no extra Mac required. The playback app handles the audio on its computer while ShowPlayer Pro handles everything else from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac:

• Advance songs and trigger cues without touching the playback computer
• Full mic automation—same MIDI control as with audio file shows
• Overlay sound effects and sweeteners during or between songs
• The playback app can run on Mac or PC—ShowPlayer Pro connects over your local network

Straight plays & live band musicals

Not every production uses recorded tracks. For straight plays or musicals with a live band, ShowPlayer Pro still handles mic automation and supplemental audio:
